Could this solve twentysomething financial woes?

So for Christmas, my mom got me a gift subscription to TIME Magazine.  Our family has been reading it forever.  Literally.  My grandpa still reads the weekly pub and sends the old ones down the street to his neighbor.  Share and share alike...


Anyhoo, the current issue has an article about peer-to-peer lending called "hey buddy, can you spare $10,000?"  I've never heard of this before, but it's pretty damn cool.  With all that credit card debt I accumulated while in college, I'm not exactly attractive to most banks (especially in these dire economic times).  This might save my bacon...and fund my wedding.
